How to Connect Your UPS Account to Shipifi

You can connect your UPS account to Shipifi and use your own negotiated UPS rates for shipping. This requires credentials from the UPS Developer Portal.

Step 1: Get Your UPS API Credentials

To connect UPS, you will need the following:

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Account Number (your UPS shipper account number)

πŸ“Œ You can obtain these credentials by following the official UPS guide:

πŸ‘‰ UPS Developer Portal – Get Started

If you don’t already have API credentials, you’ll need to sign up for the UPS Developer Kit and generate them.

Step 2: Log in to Shipifi

  1. Go to [Shipifi Login]() and log in with your credentials.
  2. Navigate to Settings β†’ Carrier Accounts.
  3. Click Add Carrier and select UPS.

Step 3: Enter Your UPS Account Information

Fill in the fields as shown in the setup window:

  • Account Label β†’ A nickname for your account inside Shipifi (e.g., UPS Main Account or UPS Test).
  • Client ID β†’ Your UPS API Client ID from the developer portal.
  • Client Secret β†’ Your UPS API Client Secret from the developer portal.
  • Account β†’ Your UPS Shipper Number.

πŸ’‘ Note: The Account Label is important because this is the name Shipifi will display when you select UPS rates.

Step 4: Enable and Save

  1. Toggle the Disabled switch at the top right to Enabled.
  2. Click Save.

Shipifi will validate the connection to UPS. If successful, your UPS account will appear under your active carriers.

Step 5: Start Shipping with UPS

Once connected, you can:

  • Get real-time UPS rates.
  • Ship with your own UPS account.
  • Generate labels and track shipments directly from Shipifi.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid Credentials: Ensure your Client ID and Client Secret are copied exactly from the UPS Developer Portal.
  • Account Number Issues: Confirm your UPS account number matches the one linked to your credentials.
